Seth Noel Baumhover was born in Dubuque, Iowa July 29, 1980. He was raised in the small Dubuque suburb of Peosta. He attended a number of schools growing up (E.P.P. (now called Seton Catholic), Farley Middle and Western Dubuque High School). While at Western Dubuque, he worked with a variety of media including: Pencil portraits, Watercolor landscapes, and Acrylic portraits. His first drawings consisted of Christmas coloring book characters and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Mascot (The Leprechaun). Seth's first paintings focused on watercolor/acrylic landscapes and acrylic portraits of people/animals.

Since moving onto college (Northeast Iowa Community College, the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Iowa) he has broadened his horizons to study Early Art History. In addition to delving into Art History, he also expanded his exposure to different art media, including: pencil/charcoal/pastel drawings (portraits and still-life), sculpture (alabaster, wood, metal and clay), and oil paintings (still-life and portraits).

Seth has a true passion for life and enjoys a number of different activities, such as: playing baseball with his brothers for the Peosta Cubs; playing softball with his friends in Epworth, IA and with his brother Damian in San Diego; going to Chicago Cubs games with his Farley-Epworth friends and sitting in the bleachers; playing City Rec. basketball for Baumhover Insurance in Dubuque, IA; playing catch with the football at University of Iowa Tailgating; playing golf with the Tri-Lams Iowa City, IA Chapter, playing tennis at the Thunder Hills Golf and Country Club where he grew up; swimming at the Thunder Hills pool with his nieces and nephews; coaching the quarterbacks for the Western Dubuque H.S. Varsity Football Team; going to the beach; cutting hair for relatives and friends; spending time with the rest of his large family; camping at Caudie Fest and Ralphie Fest at Yellow River State Park in Iowa; acting in community theatre in Santa Barbara, CA; playing the guitar and singing; learning the piano; listening to country music and alternative and classic rock!

Seth has a need to travel and take tons of photos! He loves to venture out into the unknown on a train, plane or automobile across the country or to different parts of the world. Seth has visited a number of places including: Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, England, Morocco(Africa), Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, the San Blas Islands, Island of Curacao, Island of Aruba. Summer of 2007 Seth has plans to revisit Rome, Italy as well as hopping an ocean liner and cruising the Mediterranean to Greece.
